Adrian “Chuck” Ulvog, 95, of Aneta, ND went to be with our Lord on Christmas Day, 25 December 2016. Adrian had lived the last four years in San Antonio, TX and died at the VA Hospital there.
Adrian was born at Elk Point, SD on 1 September 1921 to Alfred and Christina (Hansen) Ulvog both of whom precede him in death in addition to his wife Margaret (Rupp) Ulvog. Adrian was one of six children: sister Catherine Anderson, Howard Ulvog, and Robert Ulvog are deceased. Surviving siblings are Alfred Ulvog Jr of North Carolina and Marion Kryger of South Dakota. Surviving children are Sharon Bradley, San Antonio, TX, Larry Ulvog, Aneta, ND, and Jerry Ulvog, Cavalier, ND. Adrian leaves 10 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild.
Adrian Grew up in South Dakota. He served in the US Army during WWII and Korea retiring in 1961. He continued his service to our country working with the Civil Service in Illinois and North Dakota. Adrian was a lifetime member of the VFW and the American Legion. He was a faithful member of Sundahl Lutheran Church where he served the congregation as custodian, church council member, and various other capacities.
He and his sons moved to Aneta in 1963 where he continued to live, work, and serve his community until 2012. His family and friends will greatly miss him, but rejoice in knowing he is at peace with our Lord.
Funeral services will be Monday, January 9, 2017 at 1 p.m. at Sundahl Lutheran Church, Aneta, ND. Visitation will be Sunday, January 8, 2017 beginning at 5 p.m. with a prayer service at 7 p.m. at Sundahl Church. Military Honors will be provided by the Northwood VFW. Interment will be at a later date at North Dakota Veteran’s Cemetery, Mandan, ND.
