Alice E. Haugo

Alice E. Haugo, age 83, resident of Aneta , ND passed away Sunday, February 15, 2009 at the Aneta Parkview Health Center in Aneta , ND with the loving care of Hospice.

Alice was born March 1, 1925 on the family farm in rural Aneta to Andrew and Anne (Lee) Hegna. She grew up and attended country schools in the Aneta area. Alice helped raise her siblings after the death of her mother. She married Vincent Haugo in 1948 and together they had 5 children. Vincent and Alice lived in Aneta until moving to the farm in 1956. Alice enjoyed baking, cooking and the activities of the ladies aid. She helped raise her grandchildren and great grandchildren as family was very important to her.

Alice will be missed and remembered by her children David and Perry Haugo of Aneta, ND and Bonnie Haugo of Grand Forks, ND; 2 grandchildren Heidi and Christine; 4 great grandchildren Manatua, Terai, Bryce and David; sister Edna Olson of Aneta, ND.

Alice is preceded in death by her parents, husband, infant son, daughter Dee, brothers Melvin and Arthur.

Funeral services for Alice will be Friday, February 20, 2009 at 2:00 PM in the Sundahl Lutheran Church of Aneta, ND. Visitation will be two hours prior to services in the church. Interment will be in the Ottawa Cemetery , rural Aneta , ND . Arrangements with the Stanley-Iverson Funeral Home of McVille.
