Beverly Gleason

Beverly Gleason, age 71, of Hamar, ND died January 16, 2014 at Heartland Care Center in Devils Lake, ND.

Beverly was born May 18, 1942 to Stanley and Marcella (Avdem) Thorson. She grew up on the family farm near Tolna , ND and attended Forde Township Country School and Tolna Public School. On July 25, 1959 she married Eugene Gleason in Devils Lake, ND. The couple worked road construction for a few years and, in 1967, began to farm full time near Hamar, ND. Beverly was an excellent cook and seamstress. She enjoyed gardening, raising flowers, watching hummingbirds, and rummaging with friends. She loved to spend time with her grandchildren. In later years, she liked to go to the casino.

Beverly is survived by her husband Eugene of Hamar, ND; children Randy Gleason of Hamar, ND, Raeanne Workman of Devils Lake, ND, Carey (Michelle) Gleason of Fargo, ND, and Troy Gleason of Hamar, ND; 5 grandchildren Darrin Gleason, Sarah Workman, Jordan Gleason, Reed Gleason, and Shayle Larson Gleason; and brother Marlo Thorson of Bismarck, ND.

Beverly was preceded in death by her parents; brother Darrell Thorson; and sister Diana Thorson.

Memorial services will be Tuesday, January 21, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at American Lutheran Church of Tolna, ND. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to services in the church. Interment will be in the Tolna Cemetery.
