Bonnie J. Pittenger

Bonnie Pittenger, age 62, of Cooperstown, ND passed away peacefully in her home on February 12, 2015.

Bonnie Jean (Wells) Pittenger was born September 2, 1952 in Cooperstown, the daughter of Eddie Wells and Letha (Wells) Turnquist. She was baptized into the Lutheran Faith at West Prairie Lutheran Church. She attended a country school for a couple of years and then attended Cooperstown School. On April 27, 1969 she married Eugene (Bud) Pittenger at West Prairie Lutheran Church. They lived on the family farm until 2009 when they moved to Cooperstown. Bonnie worked for Community Options for a number of years until retiring in 2014. She also sold Avon for a few years. Bonnie enjoyed and never missed her grandchildren’s activities. Family was very important to her.

Bonnie will be deeply missed by her husband Bud of Cooperstown, ND, son David (Kari) Pittenger of Grenora, ND, daughter Naomi (Mitchel) Trostad of Aneta, ND, grandchildren Daerick, Drew, Joey & Jae Pittenger and Bryce & Evan Trostad, sister Cheryl Holloway of Jamestown, ND, brothers Roger (Kathy) Wells of Minnesota, Richie Wells of Iowa & Francis (Pat) Bickel of Florida, step-brothers Ken (Linda) Turnquist of Iowa & Dick Turnquist of California, and numerous nieces & nephews.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, sister Judy, twin sisters Sandra & Shirley, brothers-in-law Jim Holloway, LeRoy Pittenger, Lloyd Pittenger & Lyle Pittenger, and step-brother Bob Turnquist.

Funeral Services will be Monday, February 16, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, Binford, ND. Visitation will be Sunday, February 15, 2015 beginning at 5 p.m. with Prayer Service at 7 p.m. at Cooperstown Funeral Chapel, Cooperstown, ND and will continue an hour prior to services in the church. Interment will be in the spring in Binford Cemetery, Binford, ND.
