Casey L. Schultz, age 28, resident of Michigan, ND, died Thursday, March 26, 2015 from injuries sustained in a car accident.
Casey Lynn Schultz was born November 6, 1986 in Devils Lake, ND, the daughter of Susie (Larson) and Bill Schultz. She was raised in Michigan and graduated from Dakota Prairie High School in 2005. Casey held numerous degrees from Northland Technical College and UND. She had worked at various jobs including The Centre, The Douglas Place, and the Northlands Rescue Mission. She was just starting to find her place and way in this world.
Casey loved to watch soccer, NCAA basketball, UND hockey, and of course Star Trek. She loved to read and especially loved her special girl, her niece Rylee and her nephew Gage. How she hated to shop, unless it was with Rylee. She had a wonderful, engaging smile, which will be missed by many.
Casey is survived by her mom, Susie of Michigan, ND; brother, Christopher of Grand Forks, ND; and best friend and sister, Callie Jo & her husband Cory Clark of Alexandria, MN; niece Rylee and nephew Gage Clark of Alexandria, MN; and her special friend, Jared Trosen of Larimore, ND. She is also survived by her grandmother, Edith Larson of Lakota, ND; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her father, Bill; grandparents, Alf Larson and Ellis & Hannah Schultz; uncles, Glenn Larson and Merle Schultz; and aunt, Sharon Larson.
A visitation with Casey’s family will be held at the Aaker Funeral Home of Lakota, ND, on Wednesday, April 1, 2015 after 5:00 p.m. with a Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held at the Hope Evangelical Covenant Church, 1601 - 17th Avenue South in Grand Forks, on Thursday, April 2, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. The family requests that attendees wear something yellow, Casey’s favorite color.
