Cheryl Ann (Geiger) Pratt, age 54, resident of Cooperstown, ND passed away Saturday, February 25, 2012 at the Fairview Medical Center in Minneapolis, MN.

Cheryl was born January 20, 1958 in Grand Forks, ND to Ervin and Joan (Peterson) Laber. She was later adopted by Leo and Dorothy Geiger. Cheryl grew up and was educated in Binford, ND graduating in 1976. She married Leslie Pratt on November 11, 1977 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Jessie, ND. After their marriage they lived near Cooperstown. Cheryl worked as a housekeeper for the Griggs County Care Center in Cooperstown, for many years. She enjoyed being with family, camping, family game nights and way too many things to mention. She also had a close bond with animals.

Cheryl will be missed and remembered by her husband Leslie; daughters Melanie Pratt and Michelle (Adam) Middlestead; her parents Leo and Dorothy Geiger; her brother Darrell (Beverly Warnica), her biological mother, brother and sister, her sister and brother in-law Nadine (Alvin) Eslinger, many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Cheryl was preceded in death by her biological father Ervin, and her mother and father in-law Bernice (Floyd) Pratt, her grandparents Alvina (William) Pfeifer and Hattie (Oscar) Sande, along with uncles, aunts and cousins.

Funeral services for Cheryl will be Thursday, March 1, 2012 at 11:00 AM in St. George Catholic Church of Cooperstown, ND. Officiating will be Father Richard M. Fineo. Organist will be Sharon Heinz and special music by Kathy Soma-Gawronski. Visitation will be Wednesday, February 29, 2012 from 5PM to 7PM with a prayer service at 7PM in the Cooperstown Funeral Chapel. Interment will be in the spring at the Cooperstown Cemetery.
