Clarence Flohaug

Clarence Obert Flohaug, age 93, resident of McVille, ND passed away Thursday, September 18, 2014 at the Nelson County Health System-Hospital in McVille, ND.

Clarence was born September 12, 1921 in Field Township the son of Christopher and Maria (Ingberg) Flohaug. At a young age Clarence worked at a lumber mill in California and later moved to Illinois where he hauled milk. During this time he met and married Laurene Meyer on October 25, 1944 in Grantfork, Illinois. After their marriage they moved to rural Aneta, ND where they lived and farmed until moving into McVille in 1972. Clarence was very active on the farm his entire life but always found time to go dancing with his wife and friends. The couple enjoyed traveling and spending several winters in Texas and Arizona . Laurene passed away January 23, 1999. Clarence was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church .

Clarence will be deeply missed and remembered by his 3 sons Larry (Norma) of Panama, Dale (Gail) of Aneta, ND and Roy (Laura) of Remer, MN, 4 grandchildren Rick, Cheryl (Tom) Parslow, Greg (Kelsey) and Trevor (Cassia), 7 great grandchildren Calli McPherson, Amber Flohaug, Kassandra Parslow, Travis Flohaug, Morgan Flohaug, Joshua Flohaug and Kason Flohaug.

Clarence was preceded in death by his parents, wife, sisters Julia, Dina, Clara, Mabel and Anne, brothers George, Albert died in infancy, Albert, Chester, Gilbert and Palmer.

Memorial services will be held Monday, September 22, 2014 at 11:00AM in Our Savior's Lutheran Church, rural Kloten, ND. Visitation will be held Sunday, September 21, 2014 from 5PM to 6:30PM in the Stanley-Iverson Funeral Home and continue one hour prior to services in the church. Interment will be in Our Savior's Church Cemetery.

Memorials are preferred to Our Savior's Cemetery Fund.
