Cleus A. Walter

Cleus A. Walter, age 58, resident of rural Warwick, ND, died Saturday, January 1, 2022 at her home.

Cleus Ann Walter was born July 11, 1963 at Devils Lake, ND, the youngest of 10 children born to Marvin Sr. and Elaine Walter.  She was raised on the family farm, which is also her current home.  She attended school in Warwick, graduating high school with the class of 1981.  She then worked on the Dean Sitar farm for a few years.  In 1988 she married Shane Moxness.  Her son, Garret, was born in 1989.  Cleus worked with her brothers on the family farm for over 30 years.  She was an avid animal lover and raised many abandoned animals, including cats, dogs, rabbits, raccoons, and many others.  She enjoyed travelling, trips to the casino, and annual trips with her sisters.

Cleus will be greatly missed by her son, Garret Moxness of Tolna, ND; 8 siblings, Margie (Daryl) Haas of Fertile, MN, Marvin Jr. (Linda) of Warwick, Nan Forest of Tolna, Gail (Ken) Yuly of Minot, ND, Rick of Devils Lake, ND, Terry (Sharon) of Hamar, ND, Darrel (Dori) of Warwick, and Les of Minneapolis, MN; as well as many nieces, nephews, and animals.

She was preceded in death by her parents; grandmother, Florence Rask Walter; 2 brothers, Roger and Tracy; and brother-in-law, Darrell Forest.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Warwick Lutheran Church, Warwick, ND, on Friday, January 7, 2022 at 11:00 a.m.  Burial will be private at the Warwick Cemetery.  Visitation will be at the church on Friday, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
