Clifford A. Myhre, age 100, resident of Edmore, ND, passed away Friday, February 27, 2015 at the Edmore Memorial Rest Home in Edmore.

Clifford Andrew Myhre was born July 23, 1914, the son of Carl and Anna (Kettelson) Myhre in Newland Township of Ramsey County, near Edmore. He was one of six children. Clifford was raised by Severn and Bertha Lee of rural Nekoma, ND, where Clifford grew up. He worked in Oregon and California for a few years before returning to the area. Clifford was united in marriage to Beatrice Lee on November 2, 1941 in Crookston, MN. The young couple farmed near Derrick, ND before moving to their present farm in Highland Township, near Nekoma. Clifford also worked at the ABM site near Nekoma as a security guard. Clifford was an active member of Nekoma Lutheran Church, where he and Beatrice sang in the church choir for 20 years. Beatrice passed away December 23, 2011.

Clifford will be greatly missed by his family: 2 children, Curtis & his wife Joni Myhre and Diane & her husband Neil “Buzzy” Holmen, both of Edmore, ND; 6 grandchildren, Corey Myhre of Bismarck, ND, Terry (Darlene) Myhre of Devils Lake, ND, Kathy Myhre of Olympia, WA, Kim (Dennis) Olson of Bismarck, ND, Kristy (Adam) Meek of Troy, OH, and Kelly (Adam) Leiphon of Crary, ND; 13 great grandchildren; his brother, Clarence Moe of Grand Forks, ND; and several nieces, nephews, and their families.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Beatrice; 2 sisters, Myrtle Barstad and Violet Reed; 2 brothers, Melvin Myhre and Albert Lee; and 2 grandsons, Kevin and Brad Myhre.

The Funeral Service for Clifford will be held at Concordia Lutheran Church, Edmore, ND, on Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. Officiating will be the Reverend Don Reynolds. Music will be provided by the High Plains Trio, the organist will be John Martinson. Interment will be in the spring at St. Hans Cemetery, rural Edmore. The casketbearers will be Dennis Olson, Michael Olson, Corey Myhre, Terry Myhre, Adam Leiphon, and Nathan Myhre. Visitation will be held at the church on Monday, beginning at 5:00 p.m. with a Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m. and will continue on Tuesday, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
