Corrine Elizabeth (Burkland) Molmen

Corrine Elizabeth Molmen, 97, McVille, ND, passed away on Sunday, March 30, 2025 at the Nelson County Health System Care Center in McVille.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, June 7, 2025 at Stanley-Iverson Funeral Home, McVille, ND.

Burial will be at the Tolna Cemetery.

Corrine was born on August 5, 1927 in McVille, North Dakota to Peter and Clara (Opsahl) Burkland. She attended McVille public school until she graduated in 1945.

She went on to business college in Fargo, ND after which she took a position at Farmers and Merchants State Bank in Tolna, ND where she worked for 46 years.

She met Vernon (Sonny) Molmen and they were married in Moorhead, MN on March 5, 1949. Later they had 4 children, Rick Molmen, Sonja Frith, Lana Lorz and Connie Massee. She had 4 grand-children, Rick and Dan Molmen, Kyle Frith, and Tina Little. Corrine was a loving wife and mother to her children.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; brothers, Sidney, and Gorden; sisters, Phyllis Mannie, Beverly Bergrud; daughters, Sonja Frith and Lana Lorz.

Corrine was active in the Lutheran Church and the American Legion Auxiliary in Tolna for many years.

She liked to garden both vegetable and flower gardens. She was an avid bingo player, and just loved to dance.
