Darlene A. "Dolly" Jallo, age 72, resident of Petersburg, ND, passed away Wednesday morning, September 5, 2012 at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester, MN.

Darlene Ann Yoney was born April 21, 1940 at Michigan, ND, the daughter of William "Bill" and Irene (Peterson) Yoney. She attended Petersburg High School graduating in 1957. Darlene married Marvin L. Jallo on October 13, 1957 at the Petersburg Lutheran Church. Dolly and Marv moved to Everett, WA in 1966 and resided in the Washington state area until 2003, when they returned to Petersburg where they have resided since. Dolly worked as a bookkeeper for 18 years and then worked in the billing office at a Family Practice Clinic until she retired in 2003. She has worked as church secretary for the Petersburg/Dahlen Parish from 2007 to the present.

She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Marvin Jallo of Petersburg, ND; 2 sons, Steven (Lisa) Jallo and Randy Jallo, both of Lake Stevens, WA; 3 daughters, Lori (Allen) Ternquist of Michigan, ND, Tami (Tom) Piasecki of Snohomish, WA, and Kristie (Rich) Magnussen of East Wenatchee, WA; 12 grandchildren, Hunter Jallo, Parker Jallo, Stacey (Jallo) Wilson, Landon Jallo, Nicole Jallo, Megan Ternquist, Andrew Ternquist, Danielle (Piasecki) Sitzman, Amy Piasecki, Michael Piasecki, Mark Magnussen, and Erik Magnussen; 2 great granddaughters, Kylie & Jenna Wilson; 3 brothers, Merle (Dorothy) Yoney of Marysville, WA, Terrance (Bonnie) Yoney of Fargo, ND, and Michael (Vicki) Yoney of Petersburg, ND; sister, Peggy (Dwight) Johnson of Petersburg, ND; sister-in-law, Judith Yoney of Grand Forks, ND; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; 2 brothers, Richard and Dennis Yoney; sister-in-law, Sharon Yoney-Thacker; and nephew, Brian Yoney.

Dolly's Funeral Service will be held at the Petersburg Lutheran Church on Monday, September 10, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. Officiating will be the Reverend Matt McWaters. The organist will be Marlys Hoverson with special music by Mary Ralston and Terry Ellingson. Interment will be in the Petersburg Cemetery. The casketbearers will be Allen Ternquist, Rich Magnussen, Tom Piasecki, Matt Yoney, Todd Johnson, and Dustin Yoney. Visitation will be held at the church on Monday, beginning at 9:30 a.m. until the time of service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the organization of the donor's choice.
