David Rogness

David P. Rogness, age 71, resident of Pekin, ND passed away Wednesday, January 8, 2014 at the Aneta Parkview Health Center in Aneta.

David was born September 25, 1942 in McVille, ND the son of Peder and Olive (Moldahl) Rogness. He grew up and attended country school in Wamduska Township. He was baptized and confirmed in the Pekin Lutheran Church. David farmed on the family farm near Stump Lake and worked for several area farmers. In his younger years he played in the men's softball league. David was a New York Yankee fan. He enjoyed country western music, singing and playing guitar. For the last years, he really enjoyed spending time at the early morning coffee hour in the Pekin Community Center.

David is survived by his sister Susan (Ervin) Hultgren of Warwick, ND and his brother Marlo Rogness of McVille, ND, nieces Amy Hultgren of Devils Lake, ND and Jennifer (Robert) Myers of Rochester, MN, nephews Matthew(Megan) Hultgren of Warwick, ND, Chris (Sara) Rogness of El Paso, TX, Eric (Tara) Rogness of Devils Lake, ND, David Rogness of Bottineau, ND, John Rogness of Devils Lake, ND and Craig Cooper of Michigan, ND.

David was preceded in death by his parents, brother Larry, sisters in law Loretta Rogness and Kathy Rogness.

Funeral services for David will be held Saturday, January 11, 2014 at 11:00 AM in the Pekin Lutheran Church, Pekin, ND. Visitation will be one hour prior to services in the church. Interment will be in the Pekin Cemetery, Pekin , ND.
