David Rosinski was born January 19, 1953, the first of two sons to Joe and Doris (Severson) Rosinski.

After spending his early years in Devils Lake, ND, David moved with his family to a farm near Lawton. The farm would be a home for David his entire life.

After graduating with the Edmore class of 1971, David spent a year attending college in Wahpeton. Following his stint in college, David went to work. He spent several years as a painter working on projects around the state.

In April of 1978, he married Beverly Voltz. Together they raised their family, consisting of Mykal and John, in Lawton.

In April of 1979, David took a job with the Brocket Equity Elevator. He would work there for the next 41 years, the last 31 as manager. He finally retired in the spring of 2020 when the business closed.

When he wasn’t working, David loved spending time with his friends and family. He treasured the weeks in the summer when his lifelong friends would return to Lawton. Together with the guys they would go fishing, hunting for lost treasures, and sharing endless laughs.

David was a relic in the sense he rejected all social media. Texting or emailing David was out of the question. If you wanted to talk to him, it had to be in person or on the phone. Armed with his trusty cell phone, David kept in touch with countless friends and family, always letting them know what was going on while learning new things along the way.

David was also blessed with seven grandchildren, who he loved and treasured dearly. If he wasn’t on the phone, David could be found listening to his transistor radio, always tuned to KDLR, listening to his grandkids’ and great-nephews’ sporting events, watching Days of Our Lives (commonly known simply as “the story”), and taking care of his beloved cats.

David is survived by his wife, Bev; his daughter, Mykal (Glenn) Morstad; his son, John (Jessica) Rosinski; his grandchildren, Kaisa (Blake) Morstad, Presley, Ordale and Kemi Morstad, Jenna, Jeffry and Jack Rosinski; and his brother, Gene (Dianna) Rosinski; and several nephews, nieces and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Doris (Severson) Rosinski.

A graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, August 29, 2025 at the Lawton Cemetery, Lawton, ND.
