Donald G. Hodek, age 88, resident of Brocket, ND, died Monday, April 27, 2020 in Apache Junction, AZ.
Donald Gene Hodek was born October 26, 1931 in Walsh County, ND, the son of James and Eleanore (Kalash) Hodek. He was raised in the area and attended the Sauter Township School. Donald married Blanche J. Trenda on September 26, 1955 in Grafton, ND. Donald served in the U.S. Army from 1953 -1955 at Fort Benning, GA and Fort Leonard Wood, MO. He then served in the Army Reserve from 1955 until his honorable discharge in August of 1961. He farmed in the Brocket area. He had lived in Brocket and Apache Junction, AZ.
Donald is survived by his sons, Ken (Effie) of Bismarck, ND, Rick (Janine) of Grand Forks, ND, and Robert of Thompson, ND; daughter-in-law, Shirley Hodek of Medina, OH; his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Blanche; son, Donald Jr.; and infant daughter, Diane.
A graveside service will be held for Donald at the WFL-Kosobud Cemetery, rural Lankin, ND, on Friday, May 29, 2020 at 1:00 p.m.
