Dustin Jorde

Dustin Lynn Jorde, age 13, resident of Lakota, ND, died accidentally on Friday, December 5, 2014 while enjoying what he loved most, riding dirt bike with his friends.

Dustin was born March 18, 2001 in Grand Forks, ND, the son of Rodney Jorde and Laurie Johnson Rainsberry. He was baptized at Michigan Lutheran Church and raised in Lakota. He was currently attending the 8th grade at Lakota High School. Dustin enjoyed farming, haying, and carpentry with his family. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing X-Box, camping, Lego's, and spending time with his friends. Dustin was a fast learner and mechanically inclined. He could fix almost anything, and loved anything that had a motor on it. He especially loved taking care of his little sister, Katie, and teaching her things.

He will be deeply missed by his mother, Laurie Rainsberry; his father, Rodney Jorde (Kelli Cooper); sister, Katie Rose Rainsberry; half-sister, Kayla Campbell; maternal grandparents, Dorothy Johnson of Michigan, ND, and Babe Johnson of Lakota; paternal grandparents, Elwood & Verna Jorde of Michigan, ND; uncle, Neal Jorde of Lakota; aunt, Elaine Jones of Minneapolis, MN; and several cousins and extended family.

He was preceded in death by his grandpa, Elroy Johnson; step-father, Merle Rainsberry; aunt, Denise Fuglem; and grandpa Gus Mayer.

A Memorial Service for Dustin will be held at the Lakota Lutheran Church on Thursday, December 11, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will be held at the Aaker Funeral Home of Lakota on Wednesday, beginning at 6:00 p.m. with a Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m.
