Esther Erickson

Esther Ailee Erickson, age 93, formerly Michigan, ND, died Friday October 25, 2013 at Elim Care Center in Fargo, ND.
Esther was born July 26, 1920 in Lakota, ND to Henry and Emma Leikas. After graduating from Michigan High School, she married Rolf Erickson on September 28, 1940. Together they raised 3 children and farmed 2 miles East of Michigan. In later years, Esther enjoyed curling bonspiels, camping and travels with Rolf. They wintered in Mesa, AZ for 21 years.
Esther is survived by her children, Linda Erickson of LaCrosse, WI, Carmen (Linda) Erickson of Minot, ND, and Jan Erickson of Fargo, ND; 4 grandchildren, Kari (Tom) Dommer, Kirste (Patrick) Bond, Katie (Seth) Greicar, and Christopher Erickson; 5 great grandchildren, Erickson and Nathaniel Dommer, Patrick Bond, and Sarah and Joseph Greicar; and sister-in-law, Ann Erickson.
Esther was preceded in death by her parents; husband Rolf; 2 brothers, Don (Doris) and Raino (Gudrun) Leikas; and 2 brothers-in-law, Floyd (Hattie) and Phillip Erickson.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, October 29, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Michigan Lutheran Church, Michigan, ND. Visitation will be one hour prior to services in the church. Interment will be in the Michigan Cemetery. Memorials are preferred to Michigan Ambulance, Michigan Cemetery Fund, and Michigan Lutheran Church.
