Evelyn Fougner

Evelyn Fougner, 91, of Aneta, ND died Sunday, September 8, 2013 at Aneta Parkview Health Center in Aneta.
Evelyn was born June 5, 1922 in Grand Forks County to Conrad and Caroline (Lee) Jacobson. She was baptized and confirmed at Logan Church, rural Aneta. Evelyn married Milferd Fougner June 27, 1946 at Sundahl Lutheran Church in Aneta. The couple farmed together north of Aneta for 29 years. Milferd died Nov. 11, 1975. Evelyn moved to Aneta in 1976.
Evelyn played piano and organ at Logan Church. She joined Sundahl Lutheran Church, where she was an active member, and sang in the church choir for many years. Evelyn loved gardening, baking, knitting and crocheting.
Evelyn is survived by her son Donald (Nancy) Fougner, Aneta, ND; daughter Carol Bland of Phoenix, AZ; 6 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and 2 great great grandchildren.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents; husband Milferd; and sister Bernice Fougner.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, September 14, 2013 at 2 p.m. at Sundahl Lutheran Church, Aneta, ND. Visitation will be one hour prior to services in the church. Interment will be in the Silent Hill Cemetery, rural Aneta, ND.
