George W. Svercl, age 70, resident of rural Brocket, ND, died Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at the VA Medical Center in Fargo, ND.
George William Svercl was born January 25, 1945 in Lakota, ND, the son of William and Emma (Dolejsi) Svercl. He was raised on his parent’s farm and attended school in the area. George joined the U.S. Army on June 13, 1967 and was honorably discharged on January 17, 1969. He returned to rural Brocket and farmed all of his life there.
George’s family includes 3 sisters, Frances DePyper, Albina Graham, and Angela Jones; and also several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and 3 brothers, Emil, William, and Archie.
A graveside service will be held at the Pecka Cemetery, rural Lawton, ND, on Saturday, July 11, 2015 at 3:00 p.m.
