Gladys Foley

Gladys Foley, age 92, resident of Fargo, ND died on Friday, August 10, 2012 at Bethany on 42 nd, Fargo, ND under the care of hospice and her family.

Gladys was born on April 12, 1920 at home in Field Township, Nelson County, ND. She was the daughter of Ole and Tillie (Bothen) Granheim. She grew up on the family farm and attended school in Field Township and Aneta, ND. At a young age she moved to Chicago to work and married John Foley. She returned to the family farm in 1948. She later moved to Fargo to be closer to her children.

Gladys was a very caring individual, always taking care of others. She loved her children and grandchildren, they were her life. She enjoyed baking, especially at Christmas with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be remembered by all with her love, hugs and caring way. She taught us all what love is.

Gladys is survived by 2 sons, Tom (Pat) Tucker of South Bend, IN and Jerry Foley of Hermiston, OR; 2 daughters, Mary (Al) Blomberg of Fargo, ND and Darlene (Cecil) Irion of Wahpeton, ND; 11 grandchildren, 5 step grandchildren and many great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and 2 brothers, Nels and Oswald and grandson Dean Gylten.

Funeral services for Gladys will be held Tuesday, August 14, 2012 at 11:00 AM in Our Savior's Lutheran Church, rural Kloten, ND. Officiating will be Reverend Kara Wiechmann. Organist will be Mary Lou Krogh. Casketbearers will be Jeff Foley, Chad Sparrow, Austin Sparrow, Greg Irion, Chris Coste, Jim Chevalier, Jordan, Olson, Lucas Blomberg and Isaac Alderman. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services in the church. Interment will be in Our Savior's Church Cemetery. Arrangements with the Stanley-Iverson Funeral Home, McVille, ND.
