Gordon E. Svercl

Gordon E. Svercl, age 86, resident of Devils Lake, ND, formerly of rural Brocket, ND, died Thursday, August 20, 2015 while fishing near Devils Lake.
Gordon Eugene Svercl was born June 17, 1929 at Lawton, ND, the son of Joseph A. and Albina M. (Paukert) Svercl. He farmed in the Brocket area all of his life. Gordon married Pauline A. Miller on October 26, 1954. They recently moved to Devils Lake.
Gordon is survived by his wife, Pauline Svercl of Devils Lake; sister, Delores (Duane) Ryba of Devils Lake; sister-in-law, Bernice Svercl of Park River, ND; aunt, Margaret Hanesalo of Devils Lake; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers, Ervin and Donald; sister, Grace Kirchoffner; and brother-in-law, Leo Kirchoffner.
Services for Gordon will be private. Interment will be at the WFLA Kosobud Cemetery near Lankin, ND.
