Harold Smaage, 80, died March 26, 2012, with his family by his side in the Good Samaritan Center, Lakota, ND.
Harold was a farmer and carpet layer, who had a love for horses. Above all, Harold enjoyed his family. He was born March 12, 1932, in the home of his parents, Severin and Inga (Resvik) Smaage, in Nelson County, North Dakota. Harold married Mavis Lorraine Bunney on June 25, 1954.
Harold was preceded in death by his parents, wife Mavis, son Scott Smaage, brothers Selmer and Bert Smaage, sisters Bernice and Eunice Smaage, and his grandson Jesse Vasichek.
Harold is survived by his children Steven Smaage (Lynette, Seth and Levi); Cindy Mullen (Bernie) (Faith); Ashley Hazelman (Clay, Ryker and Reese); Susan Williams (Pat, Desiree and Ryan); Teri Gestson (Lonnie, Cagney and Jason Landeis (Brody); Garriet and Cassie (Kenzie); Jodie Schindele (Brian, Dylan); Penny Haman (Mike) (Dustin and Derrick Fisk); and Holly Madlom (Bruce, Alex and Lexi); and his brothers Tommy Smaage and Norman Smaage; and several nieces and nephews.
