Iona M. Metcalf
October 7, 1954 — June 4, 2015
Iona M. Metcalf left this earth to be with the angels above on June 4th, 2015 with her husband and one of her daughters by her side.
She was born October 7th, 1954 in Omaha, Nebraska where she met and married the love of her life, Bob Metcalf. At the time of her departure they were preparing to celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary. Iona came from a large and loving family.
She is leaving behind their three children; Violet (Bob), Lynn (Shane), and Bobby (LeaAnne), 15 grandchildren, 1 great-grandson and was expecting to meet her second great-grandson in the fall. She is also survived by her father Doug Melton, 22 siblings, several nieces and nephews as well as a large extended family.
Iona will be missed by many. She was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend.
There will be a celebration of life on June 13th at Bonner Park in Missoula, Montana from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. for Iona as well as her mother Vi Melton, who departed this earth just 6 short weeks prior.
In lieu of flowers, if desired, donations should be sent to the Metcalf Family at 706 Howard Ave SW, Cooperstown, ND 58425 to assist with final expenses.
