James E. Sloan

James E. Sloan, age 68, resident of Lakota, ND, died Wednesday, February 6, 2019 at Trinity Hospital in Minot, ND.

James Edward Sloan was born February 8, 1950 in Huntington, WV, the son of Donald and Mary (Cartwright) Sloan.  He was raised and educated in Lakota, graduating from Lakota High School with the class of 1969.  Lakota was always Jim’s home.

Jim is survived by his 4 children, Darci, Michael, Chelsey, and Madison; 9 grandchildren; his sister, Teresa (Roger) Rohrer; a sister-in-law, Elaine Cartwright; his aunt, Pat Lamb of Devils Lake, ND; his good friend, Terry “Skittles” Kittelson; and his nieces & nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Gerald Cartwright.

The Memorial Service for Jim will be held at the Aaker Funeral Home of Lakota on Tuesday, February 12, 2019 at 4:00 p.m.
