Janice Lorentzson

Janice 'Jan' Lorentzson of Fort Collins passed away September 23, 2013 at Lemay Avenue Health and Rehabilitation.

Jan was born December 4, 1933 in Martell, Wisconsin to Manley and Myrtle Griffey. She moved to Binford, North Dakota, in 1944, to live with her Aunt and Uncle where she later graduated from Binford High School in 1951. She continued her education at Valley City Teacher's College and taught in rural area schools. In 1952 she married Gerald Lorentzson and later became the proud mother of two sons. Janice later worked in mortgage lending and banking at Colombia Savings, Empire Savings & Loan, and continued part time at Transnation Title after her retirement. Jan was dedicated to her work and always enjoyed meeting and assisting people with their lending needs.

Jan is survived by sons Dennis Lorentzson of Binford, ND and Michael Lorentzson of Loveland, CO. She is also survived by LaMon Bollingberg of Cathay, ND; Sister-in-law Carol Griffey of Fargo, ND; three nephews, and wonderful friends. She is also survived by her cherished dog, Emily.

Jan is preceded in death by her parents; her very special Aunt and Uncle; Son Craig; Brothers Gerald and Gaylon; Niece JoRay Griffey, and Brother-in-law Thor Bollingberg.

Graveside services for Jan will be held Saturday, June 14, 2014 at 11:00AM in the Naroen Cemetery near Mose, ND. Arrangements with the Cooperstown Funeral Chapel.
