Jeaneen E. Anderson, age 81, resident of Edmore, ND, died Sunday, October 9, 2011 at First Care Health Center in Park River, ND.
Jeaneen Edele Deseth was born April 1, 1930 on her parents farm near Edmore, she is the daughter of Jens and Elma (Danielson) Deseth. She was raised and educated near Edmore, and lived in the area all of her life. She had worked many jobs throughout her life, beginning with working in a cook car at many farms in the area. She also worked for her mother as a waitress in Elma's Café, she worked at the Johnson Store, and the Edmore High School, but her primary job was babysitting. Jeaneen married Ralph H. Anderson on October 20, 1948 at the Edmore parsonage. She loved sewing, cooking, and baking. She was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church and the Ladies Aid, she served for a time as a Sunday School teacher, and was a cub scout den leader.
Jeaneen will be deeply missed by her husband, Ralph H. Anderson of Edmore; 2 sons, Dan Anderson of Fessenden, ND, and Dale Anderson of Grand Forks, ND; 2 grandchildren, Christopher Anderson and Laura Lee Anderson, both of Fargo, ND; 2 great-grandchildren, Ki Powell and RaeLynn Anderson; 3 sisters, Corinne Sanderson of El Sobrante, CA, Sharon (Tom) Weiser of Hazelton, ND, and Valerie (Jerry) Leingang of Edmore; 1 brother, Tommy (Carole) Deseth of Morris, MN; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; 4 sisters, Karen Deseth, Emilie Demester, Linda Verke, and Shirley Dahl; and 4 brothers, Leland, Harland, Donald, and Robert.
Jeaneen's Funeral Service will be held at Concordia Lutheran Church of Edmore on Friday, October 14, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. Officiating will be the Reverend Don Reynolds. The organist will be John Martinson with special music provided by Jonell Weiser and the High Plains Trio. Interment will be private at the Edmore Cemetery. The casketbearers will be Christopher Anderson, Terry Demester, Darren Deseth, Brett Leingang, Brandon Hoime, and Curtis Landsem. Visitation will be held at the Aaker Funeral Home of Lakota on Thursday, beginning at 3:00 p.m. with a Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue at the church on Friday, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
Memorials are preferred to a charity of the donor's choice.
