John Krogfoss

John G. Krogfoss, age 81, died Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at the Golden Living Nursing Home in Wisconsin Dells, WI.

John was born March 8, 1933 on a farm near Edmore, ND, the son of Charles and Thelma (Strand) Krogfoss. He was united in marriage to Hazel A. Myrvik on December 26, 1952. John was a roofer, carpenter, and worked many years at the power plant in Grand Forks, ND. He enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren. He loved to go camping, fishing, hunting, and playing cards. John so loved to go to church.

He is survived by his son, Jack (Cindi) Krogfoss of Huntley, IL; daughter, LaTanya (Allen) Cheek of Reedsburg, WI; 8 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; 3 brothers, Tom (Lilly) Krogfoss of Great Falls, MT, Martin Krogfoss of Bozeman, MT, and Karl (Jeanette) Krogfoss of Starkweather, ND; sisters, Avis Peterson of Chico, CA, Doris (Mike) Bachmeier of Devils Lake, ND, Myrtle (Shorty) Sager of Hampden, ND, and Charlotte Green of Golden, CO.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Hazel; son, Leslie; brother, Leslie; and 2 sisters, LaVonne McKay and Susan Krogfoss.

The Funeral Service will be held at the Aaker Funeral Home of Lakota, ND, on Monday, July 21, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. Officiating will be the Reverend Don Reynolds. Burial will follow at St. Hans Cemetery, rural Edmore. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday, from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
