Kathlyn Ann Kolberg

Kathlyn A. Kolberg, 88, Lakota, ND, died on August 25, 2025 at NCHS Care Center, McVille, ND, after a long battle with Lewy Body Dementia.
Kathlyn was born on December 24, 1936 to Orville and Ida (Hermanson) Anderson in Stanley, ND.
She is survived by 3 children, Cindy (Mike) Ritteman, Lakota, David Kolberg, Georgia, and Sarah Donofrio, Ohio; 9 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; son-in-law, Jerry Splinter, St. Paul, MN; 3 siblings, Aron (Mary) Anderson, Sherry Duncan and Pam Ivy; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Kolberg; daughter, Lisa Splinter; and sister, Sandy Martz.
No services will be held at this time, as Kathlyn’s wish was to donate her body to UND for science and research.
