Kenneth Anderson

Kenneth O. Anderson, age 82 of Lakota, ND died at home on Monday, December 27, 2010.

Kenneth was born September 30, 1928 to Axel and Thora Anderson near Mapes, ND. Kenny graduated from Michigan High School. He was united in marriage September 8, 1950 to Mary Lou Andrews. Kenny served active duty with the National Guard and was a member of the W.L. Cowper American Legion Post #238 in Michigan, ND. Kenny farmed near Mapes, ND.

Kenneth is survived by his wife Mary Lou of Lakota, ND; sons Allan (Deb) Anderson and Bob Anderson both of Michigan, ND and Tom (Susan) Anderson of Lakota, ND; daughter Sandy (Mike) Swanson of Grand Forks, ND; 14 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren; son-in-law Bob Shirek of Lankin, ND; brothers Ervin Anderson of Lakota, ND and Marlow Anderson of Grand Forks, ND; sister-in-law Rose Anderson of Devils Lake, ND; along with several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Kay Shirek, grandson John Swanson, 3 brothers and 4 sisters.

Funeral services for Kenny will be Monday, January 3, 2011 at 2:00 PM in the Michigan Lutheran Church, Michigan, ND. Visitation will be in the Aaker Funeral Home on Sunday, January 2, 2011 starting at 3:00 PM with a prayer service at 4:00 PM. Spring interment will be in the Michigan Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to your charity of preference.
