Kenneth D. Ellingson

Kenneth D. Ellingson, age 48, resident of Orr, ND, formerly of Lankin, ND, passed away on Saturday, June 11, 2016.

Kenneth Duane Ellingson born September 7, 1967 in Bremerton, WA, the son of Stan and Lois (Amundson) Ellingson. The family moved to North Dakota and Kenneth was raised in the Grand Forks area, where he attended school. Kenneth joined the Army National Guard on November 19, 1987. He served several tours of duty overseas and was honorably discharged on November 21, 2007 with the rank of Staff Sergeant. Kenneth married Tonia (Alford) Ford on July 13, 2007. Kenneth enjoyed watching NASCAR and ice hockey. He enjoyed being a mechanic and serving his country. He was very proud of his military career.

He will be deeply missed by his wife, Tonia Ellingson; a son, Tyler Ellingson; grandson, Tyler Ellingson Jr.; 4 step-children, Crystal Ford, Ashley Ford, Rebecca Ford, and Jacob Ford; 2 step-grandchildren, Zachary Ford and Brooklyn Ford; his father, Stan Ellingson; a brother, Lee Ellingson of Wahpeton, ND; a sister, Kim (David) Lien of Bismarck, ND; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Lois Ellingson.

The Memorial Service for Kenneth will be held at the Aaker Funeral Home of Lakota, ND, on Wednesday, June 15, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
