Kim Truvaine Syverson, age 59, resident of Aneta, ND, passed away on the family farm, Thursday, February 16, 2017.
Kim was born June 22, 1957 in Grand Forks, ND to Truvaine and Carol (Holien) Syverson. He grew up on the family farm in Aneta as the oldest of three brothers. Kim graduated from Aneta High School in 1975 and attended AVTI in East Grand Forks, MN. He moved back to Aneta and began farming with his dad. Kim married Elizabeth Bina on March 27, 1982 and through this union they had Cole and Joey. During his years in Aneta he served on the Cenex Co-op Board and the Sundahl Lutheran Church Council. On October 4, 1996 Kim married Amy Tande and through this union they had McKenzie and Courtney. The family moved to Alaska where Kim worked for M&M Constructors. He moved back to Aneta in 2009 and began employment at Gabriel Construction until the fall of 2016.
Kim is survived by sons Cole (Sarah) of Thompson, ND and Joey (Kirstie) of Devils Lake, ND, daughters McKenzie of Fairbanks, AK and Courtney of Seattle, WA, grandsons Jesse, Charlie, Trygve and granddaughter Lena, mother Carol of Aneta, ND, brothers Jeff (Rachel) of Reynolds, ND and Scott (Sonya) of Aneta, along with many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
Kim was preceded in death by his father and nephew Calvary James.
Kim loved spending time with his children whether it was basketball, football, volleyball, hunting, snowmobiling, working in the shop or 4-wheeling with his grandsons.
A celebration for Kim will be held Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Sundahl Lutheran Church, Aneta, ND with visitation starting at 10 a.m. Interment will be in the spring at Silent Hill Cemetery, Aneta, ND.
