Lena Krotenko Jacobson, 93, went to be with the Lord she loved on Wednesday, May 16th, 2012. Lena was born on December 16th, 1918 in Stenen, Saskatchewan, Canada to Kosten and Annie Krotenko.
Lena finished High School in 1939 and went on to nursing school in Winnipeg, Manitoba and graduated in 1941. She met George Jacobson in 1953 and they were married shortly thereafter.
Lena is proceeded in death by her husband, George, and son, Paul; siblings, Louis, Samuel, Nancy, and Ella. She is survived by her daughter, Grace (Jacobson) Ritter, (David), and daughter-in-law Mary Revland, 7 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, siblings Joe (Cathy) Krotenko, Harry (Audrey) Krotenko, Jim(Elsie) Krotenko, Lillian (Peter) Shykowski, Elizabeth Krotenko, and Leona (Orest) Kozushka.
A "Celebration of Life" Service will be held on Friday, June 1st, 2:00 PM, at Aneta Community Church, where she had been a faithful member for many years.
