Lorraine Lee

Lorraine Lee, 92, of Tolna , ND passed away Monday, January 21, 2013 at the Nelson County Health System - Care Center in McVille, ND.

Lorraine Solveig Thorson was born September 1, 1920 in McVille, ND the daughter of Anton and Laura Thorson. She grew up and was educated in McVille, graduating McVille High School. She married Oscar Lee on October 11, 1940 in McVille, ND. After their marriage they lived and farmed in rural Tolna until retiring and moving into Tolna. Lorraine was the organist for American Lutheran Church for many years. She enjoyed music, church, bingo, bowling, and traveling. Lorraine took great pride in each of her grandchildren.

Lorraine will be missed and remembered by her children, David Lee of Tolna, ND, Laura Ellen Crockett of Palm Springs, CA, Lloyd (Ginger) Lee of Tolna, ND, Dale (Millie) Lee of Garland, UT, and Verne (Cindy) Lee of Minot, ND; 11 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; a sister, Muriel Kennedy of TX; and sister-in-law, Dora Lee of Valley City, ND.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Harold; and 11 brothers and sisters.

The Funeral Service for Lorraine will be Monday, January 28, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in the American Lutheran Church of Tolna. Visitation will be Sunday, January 27, 2013 from 5 pm to 7 pm with a prayer service at 5:30 pm in the Stanley-Iverson Funeral Home, McVille, ND and continue one hour prior to services in the church. Officiating will be Reverend John Monson. Soloist will be Darlene Quam and organist will be Linda Luehring. Casketbearers will be Eric Lee, Todd Jorde, Brian Lee, Darren Lee, Corey Blumhardt, Chris Pierce, Ryan Lee, Cody Anderson and Jason Sateren. Interment will be in the spring at the Tolna Cemetery.
