Lyle Hanson

Lyle W. Hanson, age 87, resident of rural Aneta, ND, died Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at the Nelson County Health System Care Center in McVille, ND.

Lyle Wilbert Hanson was born the son of Oscar W. and Marie (Simonson) Hanson on September 7, 1927 at his grandparent's homestead in Field Township, Nelson County, ND. He was raised on the farm and walked to Field Township country school, uphill both ways, through the eighth grade. He was a 1945 graduate of Aneta High School. He spent his life farming & ranching on the same farmstead. Lyle married Evelyn Murdock on June 29, 1957 in Malta, MT. Lyle was involved in many organizations. He was a lifelong member Our Saviors Lutheran Church, where he was baptized, confirmed, and served on the church board. He also served on the Farmers Union Board at Aneta, the Sheyenne Valley Grain Board, the Field Township Board, and was a member of the American Tarentaise Association. He enjoyed his life and spending time with his family.

Lyle will be deeply missed by his wife, Evelyn; 4 children and 8 grandchildren, Cynthia Hanson, Lee & his wife Penny Hanson and their children Jace & Brynn, Lori & her husband Curt Haugen and their children Alissa, Kallie, Emily & Macy, Joni Hanson and her children Travis & Mikayla; and a sister, Alaine (Irving) Naas of Fargo, ND.

He was preceded in death by his parents and 4 infant sisters.

The Funeral Service will be held at Our Saviors Lutheran Church, rural Kloten, ND, on Saturday, December 6, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
