Margie Davidson

Margie Ann Davidson, age 92, went to the Lord on Sunday, June 15, 2014.

Margie was born September 6, 1921 near McHenry, ND. She was the eldest child of Floyd and Gladys (McDaniel) Beach. She had three brothers and one sister. Margie was raised in Glenfield for the first seven years and then moved to Sutton where she continued her education and graduated the top of her class. On August 20, 1940 she married Alfred W. Leininger in Kalispell, Montana. They resided in Washington State for three years where their first child, Dennis, was born. In 1943, they moved to the family farm in Binford, ND. Here, four more children were born; Michael, Lois, Butch and Peggy. In 1965, the family moved to Minnesota. Her husband, Alfred, passed away in 1971. In May of 1977, she married Walter Davidson. Walter passed away February 6, 1999. Margie moved back to Binford in 2007. Eventually she went to live in the Griggs County Care Center.

Margie is survived by two sons and one daughter, Dennis (Carolyn) Leininger, Butch (Connie) Leininger, and Peggy (Steve) Reitz, and daughter-in-law Candance, 13 grandchildren and many great grandchildren, sister Leola Parsons, along with several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Alfred of 31 years and later Walter of 22 years, daughter Lois, son Michael, and three brothers.

Throughout her life, Margie, was the most gracious, generous, appreciative, loving, caring, kind lady we knew. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends and relatives.

Funeral services for Margie will be held Thursday, June 19, 2014 at 11:00 AM in the Zion Lutheran Church, rural Binford, ND. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services in the church. Interment will be in the Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery.
