Mary Lou Robinson, age 83, resident of Michigan, ND, died suddenly on Monday, March 3, 2014 at her home in Michigan.

Mary Lou Anderson was born January 27, 1931 in Michigan, ND, the daughter of Iver and Emma (Kouba) Anderson. She was raised in Michigan, graduating high school with the class of 1949. She then attended UND for a short time. Mary Lou married Maurice Robinson on November 24, 1954 at St. Lawrence O'Toole Catholic Church of Michigan. In 1961 they moved to the Milligan house, Maurice's childhood home. They raised their 10 children and also shared their home with Mary Lou's mother, Emma. Mary Lou was very active in her church, singing in the choir and serving with the Catholic Women's Club. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and volunteered her talent to the Michigan Ambulance Service. A favorite was her annual 'Sisters trips' to the Cities. She enjoyed sharing her cooking and baking with everyone. She also enjoyed gardening, shopping, Bingo, Bunco, participating in church activities, and having a cappuccino at the Tesoro with the girls.

Mary Lou will be greatly missed by her 7 sons, Tom of Michigan, Bob of Eagle River, AK, Bill (Peggy) of Mandan, ND, Maury (Robae) of Anchorage, AK, Dan of Lakewood, CO, John (Bobbie) of Palmer, AK, and Steve of Fargo, ND; her 3 daughters, Sarah Robinson of Fargo, ND, Liz (Steve) Lichen of Evergreen, CO, and Emily Robinson of Prior Lake, MN; 15 grandchildren, Bob, Amy & Charlie, Jessica & Alise, Taylor & Ansley, Reece & Ramey, Joshua, Jhacie, Jake, Wyatt, Aries, and Brooks; 1 sister, Lorraine Key of Williston, ND; 2 sisters-in-law, Olive Muff and Lee Robinson; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Maurice on June 2, 2010; and her sister, Doris Leikas.

The Funeral Mass for Mary Lou will be held at St. Lawrence O'Toole Catholic Church of Michigan, ND, on Saturday, March 8, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be in the spring at the Michigan Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the Church on Friday, beginning at 5:00 p.m. with a Vigil and Rosary Service at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue at the Church on Saturday, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass.
