Michael E. Egeland

Michael E. Egeland, age 39, resident of Edmore, ND, died Saturday, May 2, 2015 at his home in Edmore, ND.

Michael Erryn Egeland was born March 29, 1976 at the Grand Forks Air Force Base to Marlin and Jean (Dockter) Egeland of Edmore, ND. Michael graduated from Edmore High School in 1995 and with a degree in mechanics from UND-Lake Region in 1997. Michael resided in Edmore, ND until his death May 2, 2015 as the result of an ongoing battle with a heart condition.

Michael worked for the Hampden-Edmore Co-op, hauling propane and anhydrous. Mike loved everything automotive and was never happier than when he was working in his garage or hanging out with his many wonderful life-long friends.

Michael is survived by his parents, Marlin and Jean Egeland of Edmore; a brother, Marty Egeland and his wife Tammy and their children Erryn and Mason of Thompson, ND; a sister, Missy Egeland of Rochester, MN; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and his two beloved dogs, Sadie and Oreo.

Michael was preceded in death by his grandparents, Martin and Laura Egeland of Edmore; and Rudy and Alyce Dockter of Starkweather; and several aunts and uncles.

The Memorial Service for Michael will be held at Concordia Lutheran Church of Edmore on Thursday, May 7, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. Officiating will be the Rev. Don Reynolds. Interment will be private at St. Ansgar Cemetery, rural Edmore.
