Michele Aaker

Michele R. Aaker, age 49, resident of Edmore, ND, died Tuesday, December 10, 2013 at Mercy Hospital in Devils Lake, ND.

Michele Aaker (Sparks) was born July 28, 1964 in Morris, MN, the daughter of Donald Sparks and Marlys Dahl. She grew up and graduated from Coon Rapids High School in Coon Rapids, MN. She then moved to Edmore, ND and lived with her grandparents, Ron and Eva Sparks, and attended college at Lake Region State College. That is were she met her husband James Aaker, and were married May 2, 1984. In the 29 years of their marriage, they raised three children. She spent the majority of her life as a cashier for many different places. She went back to college for an AAS in Business Management. In that time, she received many numerous awards for her active role in PBL, were she had the chance to go to the national conference in Orlando, FL. Also, she was a Snow Daze candidate. She was very involved and active in church activities when possible, and any other organization that she was apart of.

She is survived by her husband, James Aaker; her three children, Eric (Carmen) Aaker of Bemidji, MN, Donovan Aaker of Edmore, ND, and Emily Aaker of Edmore, ND. Also she is survived by her four sisters and four brothers, and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Ron and Eva Sparks; two brothers, Paul and Dennis; and also her parents, Donald Sparks and Marlys Dahl.

There will be a Memorial Service on Friday, December 13, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at Bethel Evangelical Free Church in Devils Lake.
