Milo Carl Christofferson, age 72, resident of Warwick, ND passed away after his battle with emphysema and COPD on Sunday, September 30, 2012 at his rural Warwick farm home under the watchful eyes of his extra special nurses; Allyssa, Kip & Haylee.

Milo was born July 6, 1940 in McVille , ND the son of Orlo and Vivian (Carlson) Christofferson. He grew up in the Warwick area, graduating salutatorian of the Warwick High School in 1958. Milo worked for area farmers before he went into the service. He served in the US Army from February 3, 1959 to February 2, 1961 . He was the payroll clerk during this time, stationed at Ft. Leonard Wood, Ft. Ord and Camp McCoy . After his discharge he returned to Warwick where he starting farming and working for his cousin Jimmie Hatlestad, he lived with them and they became his other family. Milo purchased land from Evon Peterson and cattle from Carroll Anderson and continued to farm with Jimmie for the next several years. Milo married Donna Mae Walker on October 30, 1966 at the Warwick Lutheran Church. In August of 1967 they purchased his Grandpa Conrad Carlson's farm north of Warwick where they have resided since. Through the years they have raised horses, donkeys, cattle and grain. Milo served on the Garrison Diversion Election Board, was a member of the Warwick Rod & Gun Club, Warwick Lutheran Church and Tolna American Legion Post #162.

Milo will be missed and remembered by his wife Donna Mae of Warwick; 2 daughters Michelle (Dennis) and Monica, both of Warwick; 9 grandkids Christopher, Grant, Allyssa, Kip, Crystal, Cassandra, Lucas, Haylee and Hazen; 4 sisters Sunnie (Duane) Alm of Aberdeen, SD, Bonnie (Harold) Holtz of Washburn, ND, Jackie (George) Evans and Sandra (John) Barber both of Warwick, ND; 3 godchildren Chad Allen Holtz, John David Walker and Kristi Leigh Peterson; aunt Marlene Christofferson of Thermopolis, WY; special friends Marilyn, Kim, Jane and Heidi; Brothers-in-law Raymond (Barbara) Walker of Cooperstown and Bill Kelley of Bolivar, MO; along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Milo was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial services for Milo will be held Saturday, October 6, 2012 at 11:00AM in the Warwick Lutheran Church, Warwick, ND. Military Honors by the Tolna American Legion Post #162. Interment will be in the Warwick Cemetery.
