Neil A. Anderson, age 71, resident of West Fargo, ND (most recently Lakota, ND) passed away on Monday, August 24, 2015 at Sanford Medical Center in Fargo, ND.

Neil Andrew Anderson was born September 26, 1943 in Havre, MT and was raised in Brocket, ND as the son of Albert and Louise Moilanen. He attended school in Brocket, and was confirmed in the United Lutheran Church of Brocket and graduated from Brocket High School in 1961. On November 16, 1963 he married Patricia “Pat” Kleven and they made their primary residence in Casselton, ND where they raised their family. Neil and Pat moved back to Lakota in 1997 to be closer to family.

Neil worked hard his whole life, including manager jobs at Fargo Tire and Cenex. Even though retired, he continued to work at the Kim Swenson farm south of Lakota and thoroughly enjoyed his time there.

Neil loved to visit people, have conversation, and share stories. He loved his family very much. He especially loved spending time with his grandchildren, and was a regular at all of their activities and sporting events. Neil also loved the Minnesota Twins and Vikings, and enjoyed watching games with others.

Neil is survived by his wife, Pat; his sons, Scott (Amy) Anderson of Fargo and Kevin (Alyssa) Anderson of West Fargo, ND; a daughter, Stacy (Rob) Kupfer of Detroit Lakes, MN; grandchildren, Hayden, Drew, Sadie, Morgan, Dawson, Joey and Rylan; sister, Kristy (Paul) Tronson of Doyon, ND; brother, Gene (Marilyn) Anderson of Grafton, ND and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Albert and Louise Moilanen.

The Funeral Service for Neil will be held at United Lutheran Church of Brocket on Saturday, August 29, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. Officiating will be the Reverend Don Reynolds. Interment will be in the Hoff Cemetery, rural Brocket. Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service.
