Orlene "Jackie" Evans

Orlene “Jackie” Evans passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones on January 24, 2015, which happens to be her daughter Dori’s birthday. Jackie was 78.

Jackie was born on January 21, 1937 to Orlo and Vivian Christofferson. She was married to Leonard “Ozzie” Peterson March 1st, 1953. Together they had four children. On November 16, 1984 she married George Evans. Jackie cooked at the Warwick School from 1971-1979 and from there went on to the United States Postal Service, where she retired as Postmaster in 2006.

Jackie was a kind, generous, loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and wife. She devoted her life to making sure her parents, husband and children were well cared for.

She is survived by her four children, Darrie (Jan) Peterson, Deb (Bob) West, Dori (Darrel) Walter, and Aimee (Chad) Hanson, husband, George Evans, and three sisters Sunnie (Duane) Alm, Bonnie (Harold) Holtz, and Sandy (John) Barber. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren, Jodi Bryant, Kristi (Allen) David, Tyler (Ashley) Peterson, Carli Peterson, Cortney and Timmy West, Danielle (Tristan) Gilseth, Nick Walter, Dustin (Andrea) Cote, Kaci (fiancAC. Jesse McCarren) Cote who helped care for her throughout her brave fight, Devon Cote, and six wonderful Great-Grandchildren. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, three Step-Children, and many Step-Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her mother and father, Vivian and Orlo Christofferson, brother Milo Christofferson, and four infant children. She is also preceded in death by her niece and her great-nephew, ZoAnn and Justin Shaw.

A private family service was held per Jackie’s wishes.
