Robert A. Knutson

Robert Alvin Knutson, age 80, resident of Cooperstown, ND passed away Friday, February 20, 2009 at the Cooperstown Medical Center - Nursing Home in Cooperstown.

Robert was born February 9, 1929 in Rogers, ND the son of Hans Kristian and Dina Johanna (Eidsvag-Olson) Knutson. He grew up and attended country schools near Hannaford, ND. Robert was baptized and confirmed at Faith Lutheran Church in Hannaford. He farmed in the Hannaford area until his health deteriorated and he needed nursing home care. Robert had a great interest in cars; he liked listening to western music and enjoyed participating in the activities at the nursing home.

Robert is survived by his 2 sisters, Carrie McDonald of Raymond, WA and Agnes Johnson of Cooperstown, ND; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 9 brothers, Hilmer, Daniel, Henry, Olaf, Hans, David, Carl, John & Otto and sister Christine Cook.

Funeral services for Robert will be Friday, February 27, 2009 at 10:30 AM in the Cooperstown Funeral Chapel. Visitation will be one hour prior to services in the chapel. Officiating will be Reverend Jessica Merchant. Special music by Kathy Soma-Gawronski. Casketbearers will be Neal Johnson, Nolan Johnson, Eldred Knutson, John Cook, Nathan Cook & Leon Skjeret. Interment will be in the spring at Faith Lutheran Cemetery, Hannaford, ND.
