Ruth Postle

Ruth Ramona Postle, age 93, of Cooperstown, ND passed away Tuesday, July 22, 2014 at the Griggs County Care Center in Cooperstown.

Ruth was born June 25, 1921 in Cumberland, Wisconsin to Einar and Sine (Monsen) Jensen. She grew up and attended school in Hannaford and Walum, ND. She married Lewis Lawrence on October 11, 1939 in Wahpeton, ND. She later married Martin Postle in Burlington, IA. They later returned to Hannaford where Ruth joined her sister Elsie in a housekeeping business called "Chore Girls". Ruth worked throughout ND as a home care giver before she retired in her early 70's. Ruth enjoyed arts, crafts and traveling, especially her trip to Denmark to visit family.

Ruth will be missed and remembered by her two daughters Deanna (John) Holsteen of Woodland Park, CO, and Pamela (Larry) Gruman of Hannaford, ND; son Paul (Kaye) Lawrence of Hannaford, ND; 8 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, husband Martin, son Gary Lawrence, great granddaughter Madison, sisters Elsie, Gertrude and an infant sister, brothers Einar and Charles.

Funeral services for Ruth will be held Friday, July 25, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. in the Cooperstown Funeral Chapel with visitation starting at 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will be in the Hannaford Cemetery. Arrangements with the Cooperstown Funeral Chapel.
