Theodore Fossen

Theodore "Ted" Fossen, age 91, resident of Lakota, ND, formerly of Edmore, ND, died Sunday, May 19, 2013 at the Good Samaritan Society in Lakota, ND.

Theodore was born March 2, 1922 on his parent's farm in Newland Township, Ramsey County, near Edmore, ND, the son of Gjermund and Inga (Holenbakken) Fossen. He attended country school near Lawton, ND. Ted helped on the family farm until 1946, when he moved to California to work in the shipyards. He worked there for a short time before moving to Great Falls, MT, where he worked in construction. In 1963 Ted moved back to Edmore and worked on the farm of his brother, Olaf. Ted then enjoyed his retirement and continued living in Edmore. He loved hunting, playing guitar, and singing to entertain his friends and family. He moved to the Good Samaritan Center in November of 2007.

Ted is survived by a son, Thomas & his wife Dianne Fossen of Edmore, ND; a daughter, Marlene Hargrove of Nevada, Missouri; a granddaughter, Elana & her husband Steve Robillard of Pembina, ND; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 6 brothers, and 6 sisters.

The Memorial Service for Ted will be held at the Aaker Funeral Home of Lakota, ND, on Thursday, May 23, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. Officiating the service will be Reverend Don Reynolds. The family considers all family and friends to be honorary pallbearers.
