Theodore Walter Rohde

Theodore “Ted” Walter Rohde, 66, of Michigan, ND, passed away on June 15, 2025, at Altru Hospital, Grand Forks, ND surrounded by his family.

Ted was born on August 12, 1958 in Langdon, ND to Walter and Agnes (Stadler) Rohde. He attended school in Langdon and Grand Forks. While working at American Crystal Sugar in East Grand Forks, MN, Ted met his future wife, Diane Sateren. The couple was married on September 16, 1978, at Center Lutheran Church, rural McVille, ND. Ted, Diane, and their children lived in western ND where Ted worked in the oil fields. They later moved to the farm near Michigan, ND where Ted delivered fuel for Cenex in McVille, and later Farmers Union in Tolna, ND.

Ted enjoyed tinkering around his farm, deer hunting, riding his motorcycle and baking fresh buns to share.  But most of all, he loved spending time with his grandchildren.

Ted is survived by his wife of 46 years, Diane; 2 children, Jared (Janessa), Fargo, ND, and Charlotte (Brad) Hansen, Hudson, IA; 5 grandchildren, Acacia, Cameron, Emma, Gavin and Ellie; brother, Ray (Kristen) Rohde; 3 sisters, Ruth Evenson, Linda (Dennis) Myatt, and Christine (Doug) Goodwill; mother-in-law, Grace Sateren; brother-in-law, David (Stephanie) Sateren; and sister-in-law, Aletta (Jeff) Christian; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Gloria Rhoads; father-in-law, Burton Sateren; and brother-in-law, Galen Sateren.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, June 28, 2025 at Center Lutheran Cemetery, rural McVille, ND.
