Timothy Halvorson

Timothy Ross Halvorson, 66, rural Pekin, ND died peacefully Tuesday, November 12, 2013 with family by his side at the Sanford Medical Center in Fargo, ND.

Timothy was born July 27, 1947 at the Nelson Community Hospital in McVille , ND to Theodore and Olga (Foreng) Halvorson. He farmed and raised cattle on the family farm and later worked as a crop adjuster for Dawson Insurance, AgForce, and currently with NAU Country. Timothy married Sheila Klefstad on August 3, 1974. Together they raised 3 children. Tim loved his children and grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them. He made friends easily and enjoyed spending time with friends and family. Tim loved to play golf, hunt, and had an interest in horses and ranching. He was an avid UND Fighting Sioux fan.

Timothy is survived by his wife Sheila; daughter, Elise (Yerald) Maza, Glendale, AZ; sons, Philip (Randee) Halvorson, Bismarck, and Shawn (Beth) Halvorson, West Fargo; grandchildren, Lauren, Jaden, Weston, and Myla; sister, Sonja Gilbertson, Glendale, AZ; and several nieces and nephews.

Timothy was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, November 16, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. at Sigdal Lutheran Church, rural Tolna, ND. Visitation will be Friday, November 15, 2013 beginning at 5 p.m. with a Prayer Service at 7:30 p.m. in Sigdal Church, and will continue one hour prior to services on Saturday. Interment will be in the Sigdal Church Cemetery.
