Travis Knight

Travis D. Knight, age 74, resident of Binford, ND passed away Wednesday, August 13, 2014 at his home near Binford.

Travis was born in Mulberry, AR on October 19, 1939 to Jesse and Dean (Travis) Knight. He grew up and attended Pleasant View High School in Mulberry. Travis served in the United States Air Force and was stationed in Finley, ND. He married Ruby Fors on December 8, 1964 at the West Prairie Lutheran Church, near Binford. After their marriage the couple lived in Grand Forks, ND before moving to Iowa in 1969. Travis worked for Quad-City Die Casting and later Caterpillar. Ruby passed away in July of 1999. Travis moved back to North Dakota where he enjoyed fishing, hunting, baking, watching wildlife and spending time with family.

Travis is survived by his two daughters Sara Knight of Konawa, OK and Lori Knight of Grand Forks, ND, two sons John Knight of Medina, ND and Mark Knight of Jamestown, ND. Seven grandchildren; Cody, Kara, Justin, Kelsey, Ashley, Kaylyn & Brayden, one great granddaughter Addelynn.

Travis is preceded in death by his parents, wife, one sister Mary Medlock, and two brothers John and James.

Memorial services for Travis will be held Tuesday, August 19, 2014 at 11:00 AM in the West Prairie Lutheran Church, rural Binford, ND. Visitation will be one hour prior to services in the church.
