Violet Dahl

Violet Dahl, 93, resident of Cooperstown, ND died Wednesday, March 9, 2016 at the Griggs County Care Center in Cooperstown, ND.

Violet Perchert was born April 20, 1922 near Cooperstown, ND to August and Clara (Buxegard) Perchert. Violet married Duane E. Dahl on August 19, 1945 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Cooperstown, ND. The couple made their life together in the Cooperstown area, and moved into town in 1960. Duane passed away on November 5, 2013. Vi worked at the Red Owl store, she had her own coffee bar in the back of the Variety Store, and she was a cook at the Cooperstown Grade School.

Violet will be missed and remembered by her daughter Cory (Larry) Trautman of Jamestown, ND; 4 grandchildren, Trevor (Chelle) Trautman of Phoenix, AZ, Robin Paulsen of Devils Lake, ND, Dawn (Marc) L'Heureux of Henderson, CO, and Tracy Entzi of West Fargo, ND; 7 great grandchildren, Jarin & Carson Entzi of West Fargo, ND, Jenna Trautman of Phoenix, AZ, Seth & Skylan Belleau-Paulsen of Sudbury, Ontario, and Ashlin & Cohen L'Heureux of Henderson, CO.

Violet was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, George; her husband, Duane; and daughter, Carol Paulsen.

The Memorial Service for Violet will be held Saturday, March 12, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. in the Trinity Lutheran Church of Cooperstown, ND. Family and friends are invited to gather and share fellowship one hour prior to services in the church. Spring Interment will be in the Binford Cemetery, Binford, ND.
