Virginia Staver

Virginia M. Leino Staver, 85, of Lawton, ND, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at the Denver Sunset Home in Denver, IA.

Virginia was born May 16, 1927 near Brocket, ND. She married John Staver on June 1, 1944 in Devils Lake, ND. Together they farmed the Staver family farm near Lawton for many years. John died June 12, 2002.

Virginia enjoyed farming, gardening, and spending time with her grandchildren. She will be remembered for her love of the outdoors.

She is survived by her daughter, Delores Charon; grandchildren, Tim Charon, Brett (Holly) Charon, Tammy (Jason) Ruby, and Jenelle (Jason) Dinwiddie; 6 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Daphne Rusco & Ferne Martilla; and many nieces & nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband; a daughter, JoAnn Kettwig Griffith; a granddaughter, JoLynn; a great-grandson; 4 sisters & 6 brothers.

The Funeral Service will be held at Concordia Lutheran Church, Edmore, ND, on Saturday, May 25, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be at St. Hans Lutheran Cemetery, rural Edmore, ND. Visitation will be at the church one hour before the service.
