Wilfred Greywind, 60, of Edmore, ND, entered the spirit world on Friday, April 10, 2009 at the First Care Health Center in Park River, ND.
Funeral services for Wilfred will be held on Thursday, April 16 at the Dakotah Oyate Lutheran Church in Tokio, ND at 12:00 noon. Pastor Larry Thiele will officiate and burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Serving as casket bearers for Wilfred will be Eddy Greywind, Joe Greywind, Shane Greywind, Les Ott, Brendon Belgarde and Tommy Ott. Honarybearers will be all of Wilfred's family and friends and his friends at the Edmore Memorial Rest Home.
Wilfred was born on December 23, 1948 in Devils Lake, the son of Mary Esther (Greywind) Larders. Wilfred was adopted and raised by Joseph and MaryJane (Jackson) Greywind. Wilfred attended the Mission School at St. Michael, ND.
Wilfred dearly treasured spending time with his family, when he was able.
We would like to thank Odd Fellows Home of Devils Lake, St. Ann of Grand Forks, Bethel Home in Jamestown and Edmore Memorial Rest Home for taking care of Wilfred when he needed it most.
Wilfred is survived by his brothers, Omar Touche, Earl Ulmers, Bruce Touche, Stanley Touche, Patrick Siegty, Alex Touche; his sisters, Roberta Ott, Esprenza Touche, Brenda Touche, Harriett Bridges, Janice (Cooley) Demarce; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Wilfred was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Esther (Greywind) Landers; adopted parents, Joseph and MaryJane (Jackson) Greywind; adopted sisters, Rosemary (Tikanye) McKay, Catherine (Greywind) Thompson; grandparents, John Greywind, Marie Blaine and others not listed.
Aaker Funeral Home, Lakota, is in charge of arrangements.
